FAQ

Questions teachers actually ask

Everything about the library, the trial, Toolkit AI and school plans. Can’t find your answer? Email us - a person replies, usually the same day.

The library

What kinds of resources are in the library?

Six types, all as clean, printable PDFs: worksheets (topic practice with answers), booklets (full topic workbooks), teacher-made exams (mocks and topic tests with mark schemes), answer packs (worked solutions), misconception resources, and Rapid Recall (rapid retrieval starters). There are over 1,000 resources across the library, with new ones added every week.

Which qualifications and exam boards are covered?

GCSE, iGCSE, AS Level and A Level chemistry. Resources are written to work across AQA, Edexcel, OCR and CIE - each one is mapped to topic and qualification level, and exam-style materials follow the command words and mark-scheme conventions boards actually use. As always, check anything exam-critical against your own specification.

Who writes the resources?

Practising and former chemistry teachers - every resource is written, checked and classroom-tested by people who teach the specification it covers. Nothing in the library is scraped, auto-generated or crowd-uploaded.

How often are new resources added?

Every week, all year round. We prioritise gaps that members ask for - if there’s a topic you need covered, tell us and it goes on the writing schedule.

Can I edit the resources?

Every resource is a print-ready PDF, and most worksheets and exams also come with an editable version so you can reorder questions, change contexts or adapt the language for your classes. Edited copies stay under the same licence - for your students, not for redistribution.

Trial & membership

How does the free trial work?

It’s a 3-day trial with 2 free sample downloads - enough to print a couple of resources, use them with a class and judge the quality properly. You can cancel any time during the trial and pay nothing; otherwise your chosen plan starts on day 4.

How much does membership cost?

£9 a month, or £79 a year (that’s 27% less - under £7 a month). Whole departments can join on the School plan at £299 a year for up to 15 teacher accounts. All prices are ex VAT. Full details are on the pricing page.

Is there a limit on downloads?

No - membership includes unlimited downloads for classroom use while your subscription is active. Download a whole topic’s worth before a unit starts if you like.

Can I use my account at more than one school?

Yes - your membership belongs to you, not your school, so it moves with you if you change jobs or tutor on the side. The one thing an individual account can’t do is act as a shared login for a department; that’s what the School plan is for.

Toolkit AI

What is Toolkit AI?

Two things: a search box you can talk to in plain English (“an AQA A Level worksheet on electrode potentials with answers”), and a lesson planner that builds a timed, resourced lesson plan around your topic, class and lesson length. See how it works. It’s included on Annual and School plans.

Does Toolkit AI generate its own teaching materials?

No - and that’s deliberate. Toolkit AI only searches, selects and sequences resources that already exist in the teacher-written library. Every PDF in a plan it builds was written and checked by a chemistry teacher, and you review the plan before you use it.

Is student data sent to Toolkit AI?

No. Toolkit AI works from what you tell it about a lesson - level, topic, lesson length, and general notes like “they struggle with half-equations”. It has no student records, no names and no marks, and we ask you not to type personal data into it.

Schools & departments

How does the School plan work?

One subscription, £299 + VAT a year, up to 15 teacher accounts - each teacher gets their own login, downloads and Toolkit AI access, plus shared department collections for schemes of work. That’s less than the price of four individual annual memberships. Read the department pitch.

Can we pay by invoice or purchase order?

Yes - School plans can be invoiced against a purchase order with 30-day terms, which is how most of our departments pay. We can also provide the supplier details your finance office will ask for.

Can we trial it as a department before buying?

Yes. The quickest route is a demo - we’ll walk your department through the library and Toolkit AI, then set the whole team up with trial access so everyone can judge the resources in their own classroom before you raise a PO.
